The reading A Brand by Any Other Name  by Douglas Rushkoff, talks about how brands use advertising to influence us. Company's doing research on what we like and love on the ads. So if we like the ads that would make us more likely to buy. So brands us people we like in their ads to show that famous people use the product. And that makes us buy as well. There all different ways company's use adverting to catch our attention and once we are hooked on it, they tell us this is cool. We want to be cool too. So we go and buy it. Its nice to learn about this and see whats behind the ads.

The product here is the soft drink call Pepsi. Pepsi is using the actress name Sofia Vergara. I think everybody knows who she is. Shes a modal, actress and comedian. Now she plays a big role in the ABC Modern Family, as a Colombian woman. The show is very funny. The ad is targeting woman and men. A beautiful woman drinking a diet Pepsi would caught your eye and look what shes drinking.

Same product Pepsi the soft drink. This time the company is using the world known singer named Beyonce. Another beautiful woman for Pepsi. Targeting this time to men. The can has her face on it. Selling sexy and beauty.

This video was made around a year ago for my counseling class. Its pretty much tells you the things not to do in school. The video is educational and also has some laughs in there. Why Lie

I think being your self is the best way to go about things one online. Why lie online. If you lie you aren't just lying to friends and family but also to your self. Everyone is different and has something to show and give about them. 

Giver

In The Giver, it looks like you cant chooses anything. The Elder chooses who you get paired with, they give you a job, and you cant have your own kid. You can appeal but its hardly going to make a difference. Rules are rules.
